"Jesus Our Advocate"

Jesus prayed in the Garden as He fell on His Face,
"O my Father, Let this cup passeth from me,
Nevertheless not as I will, but as You will,"
By His Grace, Jesus' Sacrifice, we are free.

Jesus our Advocate paid all of our debt,
He's always interceding for those that are His,
And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins,
Love Him, He loves us so much our Beloved Friend.

He's Jesus our Advocate the Sweet Rock of ages,
He sits at the Father's Right Hand,
Forever interceding for His children,
Though at times we don't quite understand.

Jesus my Advocate was crowned with thorns,
Today He lives, He's Our Glorious Lord,
And He's coming back for you and me,
We'll live with Him for all Eternity.

Jesus my Advocate knows the unknown,
His way is best, I only have to trust Him,
He is my Rainbow, He's my Breath of fresh air,
He stands by me - He hears my prayer.

When I go through the swelling tide,
Jesus our Advocate stands by my side,
No matter how often I fall and fail,
Jesus my Lord will always prevail.

When the enemy tempts me to do wrong,
He wraps me tight in His Gentle Arms,
He is always near to plead my case,
How I Thank Him for His amazing Grace.

He prayed "Father, forgive them,
For they know not what they do."
Jesus Our Advocate became our Friend,
And in three days, He arose again.

Jesus our Advocate, the Living One,
Takes all my cares to the Throne,
He is my Lily in my darkest valley,
He promised, I will never walk alone.

Press in close to the Great Advocate today,
He is still the sinner's Friend,
Oh the love that forgave you and me,
He will forgive you until the end.
