Angry Sea By Gayle Davis

From The Angry Sea

I was tossed all about,
By the rolling angry sea,
My ship was slowly sinking,
Life is collapsing 'round me.

A broken mast holds my sails,
Splintered by a raging wind,
Tossing about in the sea of life,
A new strength I prayed to find.

Looking o'er the heightening waves,
Billowing toward me en masse,
Jesus, help me; again I plea,
Let this destructive storm pass.

The darkness surrounding me,
Gave light to these searching eyes,
I turn my head to the heavens,
There was brilliancy to the skies.

Slowly descending toward me,
I saw an angel with snowy wings,
Glowing with a burning intensity,
This angel I know; rescue brings.

She tenderly reaches out to touch me,
Sobbing I welcome her gentle embrace,
I am filled with comforting ministration,
Heaven sent by this sweet angel of grace.

Jesus listens to our desperate prayers,
When the storms of life break our will,
God never turns His back upon us,
He sends blessings; our needs to fulfill.

There are angels walking upon earth,
Though their wings may be hidden from view,
If we continue to seek our Master's intention,
His strength and wisdom will lovingly imbue.
