The Bridge Of Life

I traveled through the darkness,
Blindly for I could not see,
I struggled to move forward,
Afraid of where I would be.

Fear gradually overcame me,
Overtaking thoughts of the mind,
Yet in faith I moved onward,
Praying my destination to find.

Sins shrouded in darkness,
Forgiven and washed away,
Jesus died on the cross for me,
Creating a lighted pathway.

I see lights indistinctly ahead,
The way becomes brightly aglow,
No longer blinded by darkness,
There's lights along the path I go.

I bridged the gap in my life,
God's love beckoned the span,
Gave vision to my blindness,
I now follow the Father's plan.
