D.C. Winter
Winter is the
most beautiful
time of year,
When snow is falling
in big flakes,
And snow on the
side of roads,
Are built up in
snow white banks.

The Northern States
seem to have the
most,
But some are seen
in many States.
The beauty of
it all is breathtaking,
And the joy kids
have when they
can skate.

Washington D.C.
is known for harsh
Winters,
The snow and cold
are sure to come.
But seeing Winter
approach them,
Is a welcomed
sight by some.

It's like a Winter
wonderland,
With ice on all
the trees,
And the ground
all covered with
ice,
Everywhere one
sees.

I've never been
to Washington
D.C.,
It must be a sight
to see,
Especially in
the Winter time,
That's a place
I'd like to be.

I like the cozy
feeling of a warm
coat,
And a scarf around
my head,
Or just relaxing
in my home,
All warm and cozy
in my bed.

I'm just a plain
and simple person,
I like the simple
things,
Like popping corn
on cold nights,
And the warmth
hot chocolate
brings.

When snowy cold
days are upon
us,
I like to stay
inside and rest.
Maybe do some
quilting,
Or hobbies I like
best.

The tree limbs
are all so lovely,
When covered deep
in snow,
And bright red
cardinals sit
on the branches,
Like a red hot
coal that glows.

Red berries against
the snow and ice,
Is something that
can only be,
When Winter's
at its best,
A seasonal thing
to see.

Then soon it will
be Christmas time,
And holly with
red berries everywhere,
Mistletoe and
decorations in
the stores,
And ivy lines
the stairs.

Boys and girls
will ride their
sleds,
Down the deepest
hills they find,
With joyful glee
as they enjoy,
Good old Winter
time.

They will build
snowmen over lawns,
As their imagination
just goes wild,
That's the joy
of snow in Winter,
The fun and laughter
in watching a
child.

Well whatever
be the weather,
I'm sure we'll
all survive,
As long as we
have hope and
faith,
And God is by
our side.
