The Ghostly Pirate
Ship
There was a ghostly
pirate ship,
Just sitting on
the shore,
All beaten and
badly damaged,
Apparently from
a war.

No one was there
in sight,
Just ragged sails
were flying,
Must have been
a terrible fight,
With all the ship's
crew dying.

It looked like
maybe a cyclone,
May have brought
the ship ashore,
And by the looks
of all we found,
Must have been
quite a war.

The ship looked
old and haggard,
On shore for quite
some time,
No way to tell
what brought them
here,
No cargo no treasures
did we find.

There was an awful
eerie feeling,
When boarding
that old ship,
To find it deserted
with only weapons,
For a fight and
an old leather
whip.

Our guess is that
the Captain,
Was a cold, hard
hearted man,
That played his
game with men,
To gain just what
he can.

They were ruthless
tough characters,
You had to watch
them close,
If things weren't
just like they
wanted,
You may not make
the coast.

The skull and
bones were flying
high,
Way above all
sails,
So everyone would
be able to see,
We're not all
by ourselves.

An angry crew
could take control,
Of any merchant
ship,
For their crew
was tough and
mean,
They lived aboard
prepared for every
trip.

The ship was in
real danger,
Wedged between
some rocks,
A wind so strong
to move the ship,
Could have caused
the ship to dock.

Destroying it
completely was
a fear,
But Pirates had
their way,
If they could
capture a better
vessel,
They'd move in
there and stay.

They were and
are a selfish
crew,
That roams the
sea today,
It's always been
the pirate's dream,
To rule the water
ways.

I don't believe
most pirates,
And maybe none
at all,
Have families
to be responsible
for,
They're free to
make their calls.

It's a life like
no other I guess,
Selfish, lonely
and filled with
hate,
And certain danger
for anyone,
To try to change
a mate.

Best left alone
the mysteries
of the sea,
And pirate's plans
for war,
They fight with
guns and swords,
They're bad down
to the core.

Only curiosity
would make one
wonder,
What piracy would
be like,
From History we
have learned,
It was one big
bloody fight.
