God's Rainbow
It's been so dry
the last few weeks,
The yards and gardens
were dry and crisp.
But then the rain
came, and such a
blessing,
With livelihoods
at risk.

The hay was all
drying up,
Where farmers needed
it for feed.
For winter soon
will be here,
And all that hay
they'll need.

But always when
we pray,
God hears our desperate
cry.
And He's always
there for us,
Even until the day
we die.

Sometimes we complain
if it's too dry,
Or maybe too much
rain.
We're never satisfied
with what God gives,
We're always going
to complain.

God's word tells
us to be content,
In whatever our
state we might be.
For we can do all
things,
Through Christ which
strengthens me.

There is always
a happy ending,
To each season that
we face.
When dry, the showers
God sends,
To liven up the
place.

And most of the
time will appear,
A rainbow in the
sky,
Bringing smiles
to our faces,
As clouds start
passing by.

We never know what
a day might bring,
But most surely
it will be,
A Blessing to us
all,
On that we must
agree.

For God gives only
good things,
If we ask Him and
believe.
He'll give us what
we ask for,
Unless we're praying
selfishly.

For there is a rainbow
in the sky,
After all the rain
has ended,
And a sky so full
of color,
So bright and carefully
blended.
