His Gifts
Summer days draw to a close
warm sunshine bids adieu
Autumn breeze awakens
bringing gifts, brand new

Yellows, green and orange
lined neatly in a row
where tiny seeds were planted
raindrops helped them grow

We reap rewards from garden
the harvest plentiful
sweet gifts from God, Our Savior
to keep our bellies full

His Blessings of the season
help carry us along
gathered fruits and veggies
will nourish, keep us strong

Yellow corn, sweet tators
freshly picked, preserved
canned goods for the winter
each labeled for reserve

Colors mark the season
His brush paints tapestry
crops ready for the table
giving much to eat

While reaching for a serving
remember those in need
share your wealth with others
help plant another seed
