Why ?

I sit and gaze up at the stars,
And wonder why I'm here.
I've often ask this question,
But the answer, I've yet to hear.

I don't know why, my life's a mess,
Or why these trials, I go through.
I keep my ears wide open Lord,
In hopes of hearing from you.

Will you one day reveal to me?
All the answers that I seek.
Am I so bad, that even you,
Are afraid to take a peek !

Or is it ,that the devil,
Keeps playing with my mind.
I search for you in my life,
Why are you, so hard to find ?

Is it me Lord, am I so afraid,
I just don't know what to do.
Is my heart so cold and hard,
That I forgot to open it up to you ?

Help me to break this barrier,
That seems to keep us apart.
Help me to find the key,
That opens the door to my heart.

I'm asking you Lord this very day,
To take control of my soul.
To cleanse away my sin,
And once again make me whole.

I know you are the Savior,
Jesus Christ, God's only Son.
You came and died upon the cross,
And then your work on earth was done.

You died to save each sinner,
You brought Hope and You brought Love,
And you told us of the Father,
Who awaits us all above..

I'm beginning to understand now,
Just how strong God's love is for me.
He opened my ears so I could hear,
And my eyes so that I can see.

The answers were right before me,
As clear as the stars in the sky,
I know Jesus is my redeemer,
Never again, need I ask why !!
